General Info

If you’re craving bold Mexican flavors in Lakeport, Ali’S Kitchen is one of those spots that quickly earns a place on your go-to list. Sitting conveniently on Park Street, the location is easy to find, and with a free parking lot available, getting in and out is hassle-free-something you really appreciate around lunchtime.

Walking in, the vibe feels relaxed and welcoming, like a neighborhood diner where people come for both a quick bite and a laid-back meal. The menu is straightforward but packed with satisfying options. One of the first things that stood out to me was the Taco Plate 3. It’s simple, filling, and delivers exactly what you want-well-seasoned meat, fresh toppings, and a balanced flavor that doesn’t try too hard but gets everything right.

Another highlight is the Queso Birria De Res. It’s rich, cheesy, and deeply savory, with that slow-cooked taste that feels comforting from the first bite. If you’re in the mood for something lighter but still flavorful, the Taco Salad works well. It’s crisp, fresh, and doesn’t feel overly heavy, making it a solid choice for lunch.

Speaking of lunch, this place handles midday crowds smoothly. Whether you’re grabbing something quick or sitting down with friends, the service keeps things moving without feeling rushed. Pair your meal with a cup of coffee or even a beer if you’re winding down-both options are available and fit naturally into the casual dining experience.

Seafood lovers shouldn’t skip the Shrimp Cocktail. It’s refreshing and well-balanced, especially if you want something different from the usual taco lineup. And if you’re stopping by earlier in the day, the Chilaquiles are a great pick-comforting, flavorful, and just the right amount of indulgent.

From what I’ve seen and experienced, reviews tend to highlight the consistency of both the food and service. It’s the kind of restaurant where you know what you’re getting, and that reliability makes a difference. The combination of solid menu options, convenient location, and easygoing atmosphere makes Ali’S Kitchen a dependable choice for both locals and visitors looking for authentic Mexican food without the fuss.

“ Fantastic food, happy smiling faces and darling bright building right next to the park! Family-owned (we love our small businesses) and the love and pride they take in their business reflects in the food. Delicious salsas and the Quesabirria is phenomenal! ”

“ My husband and I love the Gorditas. They are so yummy. It is hard to order anything else because we love them so much. But the Burrito Supreme is right up there. The kids get them and we always steal a couple bites of theirs. The food has always been hot, fresh, and tasty. ”

“ I got the Chile Relleno Burrito and a Horchata to go; both were absolutely delicious! They had vegetarian options and an easy to read menu. The people in the place are very kind and they all have the best smiles I’ve seen from people. Excellent job; to all of staff there! ”

“ There’s a lot I love about Ali’s like the fact that they are family own and operated I remember when I would see her selling her food on line it all looked so amazing! Then when she opened up her eatery in lakeport and I got to try it we were not disappointed I love that everything always looks smells and taste so fresh nothing sitting in pots all day in her kitchen you can tell the dishes she serves her clients and how she prepares it’s is no different then how she feeds her family and nothing can speak more highly of a restaurant! I like ve my michalada drink, we always get great friendly services leave full and satisfied looking forward to the next time great job te!!! ”

“ Ali’s Kitchen – Lakeport, CA I had the Camarón al Diablo and wow—absolutely incredible. The portion was huge (I couldn’t even finish it), and the sauce was next-level. Rich, flavorful, and perfectly spicy. Their bean dip is also worth mentioning—authentic and probably some of the best I’ve ever had. Cynthia had the Carne Asada and was seriously impressed. She said it reminded her of the quality and flavor you’d find in San Diego—so that’s saying a lot. This might just be the best Mexican food in Northern California. We’ll definitely be back. ”

- Shawn Hermosillo -

“ The food was delicious and we will be back. They do charge for chips and salsa. Service was a little slow probably because we sat on the balcony. ”
